Nursery/FSU

‘nurture, flourish, succeed…together’

Our school vision is inspired by Luke 10; 25-37, The Parable of the Good Samaritan,

in which Jesus teaches us to ‘Love your neighbour as yourself’.

 EYFS Vision:

At the heart of our Early Years provision is a belief that every child deserves the very best start to their educational journey. We create a nurturing, ambitious and inspiring environment where strong relationships form the foundation for learning and development. Through warm, trusting partnerships with children, families and staff, every child feels safe, valued, respected and understood.

We recognise that young children learn best through purposeful play, exploration and meaningful experiences. Our curriculum is carefully designed to provide rich opportunities for children to develop foundational knowledge and skills that will prepare them for future learning and lifelong success. Through high-quality interactions, skilled questioning and responsive teaching, we support children to think deeply, communicate confidently and make sense of the world around them.

We are committed to fostering curiosity, creativity and a love of learning. We encourage children to take risks, solve problems and learn from mistakes, helping them to become resilient and independent learners. By providing an inclusive and challenging environment, we empower every child to develop confidence in their abilities, build positive relationships and achieve their full potential.

Our vision is for every child to leave the Early Years as a happy, confident and capable learner who is:

  • Resilient when facing challenges
  • Independent in their learning and self-care
  • Excited and motivated to learn
  • Safe, secure and supported
  • Valued as a unique individual
  • Curious about the world around them

 Bridgerule Offer

Our Nursery opened in September 2019. The children now have a dedicated room with toilet facilities and direct access to their own outside area. Outside we have built ramps so that children and parents can have easy access to the Nursery.

Children benefit from a caring, nurturing, secure and stimulating environment which recognises the unique talents of every child. We aim to inspire awe and wonder in our children and follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum - a child centred play-based approach to learning.

We offer your child:

  • Access to a wide and varied range of activities and resources tailored to their needs and interests, working through the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Individual care and attention made possible by a high adult to child ratio
  • Fun and friendship with children and other adults
  • Support of a key person
  • Smooth transitions, where we are so closely linked, onto the next stage of their education

All parents and carers are encouraged to be fully involved in all aspects of their child’s care and education whilst in our setting, through regular keyperson meetings, use of our online system of Tapestry learning journals and verbally on a day to day basis. We survey our parents / carers on their childcare and education needs so that we can provide them with the best possible services.
