What another busy week of learning we have had! In English, the Year 1 and Year 2 children have been using noun phrases to describe their own wonderful inventions. It has been lovely to hear their imaginative ideas, from flying beds and Lego stations to teleporting machines!
The Reception children have been exploring their emotions through the book The Colour Monster. They enjoyed talking about different feelings before having lots of fun painting their own Colour Monsters to represent different emotions.

What a busy and exciting first three weeks we have had in Class 1! The Year 1 and 2 children began their English topic based on Rosie Revere, Engineer. They had great fun designing and creating their own model bridges before moving on to writing instructions for making a Cheese Hat and choosing interesting adjectives to describe different inventions.
In Science, we have been exploring different types of weather, and it has been amazing to see just how much the weather has changed since the start of term! Meanwhile, the Reception children have been learning all about autumn and thoroughly enjoyed last week’s story, The Leaf Thief!
